Hello everyone, i'm back!
Seriously, i do not have any time left to update while i was working the past few days.
This post might be a long one, hope you people wouldn't fall asleep while reading~ =P
=( Working is so tiring~
Ended work late in the night almost everyday.
And and and..... Every time i have to follow my time-table, which left me with no free time. I even have to work during weekends, and i only left with just a little time to spend together with my family & friends. Aww...
I missed those days when we often go out during weekends......
During the past few days of work, i totally lost my appetite and had insufficient rest.
I felt bloated after eating just a few bites of food & i could not sleep well too.
Maybe it's due to stress? Yea, it's true. I felt so much stress while working.
And the happiness while working was not there.
At this point of time, i started to think if i have made a wrong decision?
I feel that my freedom is gone~~~ But i guess, now it's back again~ Haha...
It was like....... FINALLY........?~~ =)
First day of work, I was feeling so anxious & worried.
I was worried if i were to be able to get used to the job and get along with the rest of the staff there.
I have no problem getting along with them. Except for 1 & 2 of them, the seniors......
Maybe their expectations from me is too high. Hmm... I don't know.
The rest are quite helpful & friendly. ;)
Just on my first day of work i have learnt a lot of things already. Haha...
First thing to do everyday is to change water from 2 pails. Basically, for mopping & cleaning of mirror, etc.....
After that, i have to remember all the position of the clothes that are placed. This will make a easier task for me if i wanted to hang them up. Few days later, i get to learn about cashiering. One word: confusing. Haha... Especially when customer use master card. A lot of procedure have to be done.
I tried to serve the customers, and there isn't much problem for me. Just have to treat them as a friend and chat with them, recommend the clothes that they wanted, etc.....
The trainer also taught me how to differentiate different type of clothes using the price tag, the amount of discount that the customers will receive, folding & ironing clothes, closing & cleaning of the shop.
Just on the first day of work, i have to work OT already. Just because of 1 customer. =.='''
She couldn't decide what to but & keep on trying & trying. I will have to keep waiting & waiting.
No choice, as what people normally said, '' customers are always right''. Haha... Familiar with this phrase? ;)
Wow... You can see how much i have to learn within one day right? That's why i said that i felt stress. Can you people feel it too? Haha.....
Don't think that these tasks are as easy as what you people normally do at home, it's totally different. Especially the closing of shop. OMG~ I have to carry the metal & pull down the gate all by myself. It's SO heavy & requires a lot of strength. At first i thought i couldn't do it, but i still managed it~ Wheee... A feeling of satisfaction is there. Every time when i have to close the shop, i will do it quickly. Like closing the gate, vacuum & mopping the floor. Cause the faster you are done, the earlier you can go home. Hahaha... That's why i do it very quickly. ;)
First, what i like to do most is to serve the customers. Cause i can get to see different types of people and it's a challenge of learning how to deal with them just to get a smile from them. Till now i have even served thai, indonesian, caucasian customers, etc....
Some customers are so demanding, ask for different types of clothes & i have to search for them.
A smile from the customers can brighten up my day, as this means that they are satisfied with your service. =)
Let me share with you people about a very funny incident while I was working.
There was a time when I was about to refill the water after ironing the clothes & the cap was so tight that i couldn't open it. In coincident, there are 2 guys who came into the shop and the supervisor asked them to open it. 1 of the guys couldn't open it & he felt kinda embarrassed. Then he asked the other guy to open it. Finally, he opened it! He said to the first guy that,'' i was stronger than you''. It ended up everyone laughing~ Hahaha..... I will always remember this incident.
Second, what i dislike most is when the arrival of new stock, because i have to re-memorise the position again. Second, it's the nagging & scolding from the seniors. Haha.. Who will like nagging & scoldings? Even if we didn't do anything wrong they would also scold us. =.='' The way they talk is by shouting & not talking nicely to you. Can you people feel what i have been through? ='(
Everything is hidden inside my heart, i don't dare to tell my parents too. Cause i'm afraid that they would feel upset for me. It was so different from what i have imagine.
After a few days of work, i get along with the staff better & better. Some times when there isn't any customers, we can slack and we will take this chance to chat & joke together. Haha... There one thing that i realised, when there is no customer, it means no customer. Time past very slowly. When there is customers, a bunch of them will keep coming in. Time will pass very quickly. It's was so busy when there is so many customers, cause you have to manage a few once at a time. Busy busy busy~...... I finally realised what some of my friends had said that your leg will start to feel pain when you stand for long hours. End of the day, you legs will feel so pain that you will rest your legs on the sofa when you reached home immediately. Haha... My shoes make my leg pain too, i got a few bruises here & there. I even have to tolerate the pain while walking. =(
Anyway, I have learnt a lot of things till now. For e.g, how to deal with the difficulties you meet, as well as the customers, and of course getting along with the staff you work with. I also get to know the different types of people in the world. It's a rare opportunity for me.
Lastly, i wanted to thank my family & friends who have been there to encourage me, lending me a listening ear to hear my complaints, giving me solutions whenever i met with certain difficulties & also being so understanding for me.
It's challenging & torturing.
But i tolerated until now~
Till now i know, money do not comes to you easily.
Alright, thanks for reading such a long post. I felt much better after typing & sharing these stories with you people. =)
Next friday, Show will be coming to SG for his autograph session. I hope that i'll will be able to attend to see him in person & get his signature for my album! Wheee... Who is interested to attend too, please inform me ASPS~ Thanks to de de for informing me about it. ;)
